As part of an exciting initiative to establish a mango processing plant dedicated to producing snacks, Renfort et Action Plus is seeking dynamic and motivated temporary data collection agents to support a field study focusing on mango producers in the Northern Region of Cameroon. Scope of Work
The selected data collection agents will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive survey aimed at understanding the production capacity and challenges faced by mango producers in the region. This is a crucial step towards developing a sustainable supply chain for the upcoming mango processing plant, which will convert fresh mangoes into delicious and nutritious snack products. The position is temporary, with an estimated service duration of 6 days.
Main Responsibilities
- Survey Preparation: Organize and prepare necessary materials and equipment according to survey requirements and instructions.
- Target Identification: Identify and engage target individuals, explaining the nature and objectives of the survey to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Support and Guidance: Assist target participants throughout the data collection process to ensure accurate and comprehensive responses.
- Data Collection: Conduct surveys based on the study needs, ensuring all information is collected systematically and accurately.
- Documentation: Complete questionnaires, forms, and reports meticulously.
- Data Organization: Sort and categorize collected data, ensuring proper classification and documentation.
- Equipment Management: Handle all provided materials/equipment responsibly, maintaining a high level of care.
- Professional Conduct: Uphold the highest level of respect for partners and beneficiaries during every stage of the data collection process.
- Cross-Cutting Issues: Act in accordance with gender sensitivity, environmental concerns, protection protocols, and other critical considerations.
- Additional Tasks: Perform any other related duties assigned by the hierarchy that align with the mission and vision of Renfort et Action Plus.
Required Profile
Education:
- A degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or other relevant fields.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of proven experience in conducting surveys or similar research projects.
Other Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer tools.
- Fluency in French and Fulfulde.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and willing to travel extensively within the field.
- Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
- Be of good character and exhibit professionalism.
