The Beit Trust offers scholarships for postgraduate studies at several British and South African universities. The next round of Beit Scholarships to be awarded is for the academic year beginning September 2025 for universities in the UK, and January 2026 for universities in South Africa. The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education announces to the general public and prospective applicants that the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the United Kingdom is providing the UK government’s Commonwealth Scholarship scheme led by international development adjectives. This scholarship enables individuals to study in the UK and gain skills, acquire knowledge and build networks to tackle global development challenges. This offer is open to Cameroonians without distinction of sex nor age and is tenable from September 2025. The scholarships are offered under six (06) themes (domains): Science and technology for development; Strengthening health systems and capacity; Promoting global prosperity, Strengthening global peace, security and governance; Strengthening resilience and response to crises; Access, inclusion and opportunity. The awards may be in any of the following categories: One year taught Master’s at an eligible UK institution; A three-year doctorate programme. The CSC’s online application system will open for application between 10 September 2024 and 15 October 2024, The Ministry of Higher Education is accepting applications between 10 September 2024 and 18 October 2024. How to apply: Candidates must first apply using the CSC’s online application system (OAS) which can be found on the CSC website. The CSC will not accept any applications that are not submitted via the online application systern or after the closing date of 15 October 2024 mentioned above. -Candidates must also submit a complete application file at the Ministry of Higher Education whose content is listed below.
